Position Summary

Theposition is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’saccounting and financial performance. This position will carry a broadbase of financialmanagement(analyzing,interpreting,implementing,monitoring,enhancing) andoversightresponsibilitytoincludegeneralaccounting,financialreporting,journalentrypreparation,AP/AR,payroll,account reconciliation, variance, trends, productivity, and profitabilityanalysis. This position supports the processes that produce the strategicfinancial plan, budgets, and monthly analysis of results, trends, and keyperformance indicators related to the Company’s operations. This individualwill have strong team, project management, and leadership skills.

He/shewillneedtothriveinmanagingprioritiesandexpectationsconcurrently,acrossboththequick-serviceandfull-servicerestaurant brands.

Role Qualifications

• MBApreferred,bachelor’sdegreeinfinanceorrelatedfieldrequired
• CPAdesignationpreferred,butnot required
• 5+yearsofaccountingexperiencewithamulti-unitserviceorganization,restaurant,hospitality,or retail
• 3+yearsofexperienceinamanagerialorleadershiprolewithreporting structure
• Stronganalyticalandproblem-solving skills
• Proficiencyincompilingdata,creatingreports,andpresentingclearandconcise information
• Excellentcommunicationskillsbothoraland written
• Abilitytoworkeffectivelyinateamenvironmentandindependentlyperformindividualtaskswithina project
• StrongcomputerskillsincludingadvancedMSandother systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing financial andaccounting support to field operations business leaders and the MSC Finance/Accountingteam.Providestechnicalandadministrativedirection,leadershipandcoordinationtodirect reportsand field operations team.
• ConsultswithoperationsandMSCbusinesspartnersinareasthataffectfinancialperformancetoincludecosts and margin analysis, capitalexpenditures, reporting, and measurement.Performtimely andinsightful analysis and appraisemanagement regarding operating results in terms of costs, budgets, trends,variances, profit improvements, and cost reductions.
• Reviews,develops,analyzes,andinterpretsfinancialandbudgetaryreports.Presentstomanagementforreview,decision-making, and action. Analyzes trends and deviations (actual performanceto budget plan), monitors spending and cash flow. Recommends course correctionto enhance profitability.
• Manageallactivitiesrelatedtotheperiod-endcloseprocessfortenentitiesensuringintegrityofthetransaction reporting to the generalledger
• Prepareperiod-endfinancialsincludingbalancesheetandcash flow
• Responsibleforintercompanytransactions,allocations,and eliminations
• Preparequarterlycombinedfinancialstatementswitheliminationsandquarterlycovenant calculations
• Accurate&timelypreparationandreviewofjournalentriesandaccount reconciliations
• Assessinternalcontrolsandmakerecommendationswhere appropriate
• Preparationofsupportschedulesrelatedtoannualfinancialstatementreview,taxes,andotheraudits(salestax, personal propertytaxes, insurance, 401k, worker’s comp, etc.)
• Responsible for compliance filings/reportingsuch as sales tax, 1099’s, Tip Allocation Reporting, personal propertytaxfilings(571’s),BLS,MultipleWorksiteReporting,Censusrequests,andotherregulatoryreporting.
• Responsibleforfixedassetaccountinganddeprecationcalculationsincludingadditionsand disposals
• Whenapplicable,researchandanalyzeaccountingguidanceandpresent recommendations
• Supportbudgetingfunction,withownershipofidentifiedcost centers
• Preparationandreviewofbalancesheetaccount reconciliations
• Leadvariousfinance&accountingsystemimplementationsandbuild-outprojects,includingbutnotlimitedto, ERP upgrade, Report Writer, APautomation, Restaurant Specific back-office solutions, commissary/manufacturingsystems, other integration opportunities, etc.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physicaldemands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is requiredto stand; walk; sit; use handstofinger,handle,andfeelobjects,reachwithhandsandarms;climbstairs;balance;stoop,kneel,crouch, and crawl; talk and hear; tasteand smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythejobincludeclosevision,distancevision,colorvision,peripheral vision,depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Workenvironment: Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,theemployeeisexposedtocustomaryconditionsof both Field and Miguel’s Support Center (MSC) locationsprevalent at the time. The noise level and physical requirements (ex:temperature) are customary to restaurants’ usual work environment. In addition,this position will be in the Commissary and at the MSC, as needed.
