Reports to: Owner / CPA

Location: Charlotte NC

• High volume Heating/Air Conditioning/Plumbing/Electrical Company located in Charlotte, NC is seeking a seasoned Controller with CFO capibilities to assume full range of accounting and financial reporting duties.
• The Company’s revenues are in the range of $15m to $25m , and growing rapidly with multiple interconnected entities.
• Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 10+ years’ industry experience.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and comes with complete benefit package.
• CPA would be a plus but will consider others based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises the accounting activities and team and will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of the financial work product.
• Establishes the month end closing calendar and manages the closing effort to meet all deadlines, while pro-actively implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepares monthly income statements, balance sheets and statements of cash flows for distribution to ownership and leadership team.
• Establishes, implements and oversees the Company’s internal control structure, manages the annual audit process and serves as the Company’s main point of contact for financial issues.
• Assists with the annual insurance renewal process and risk management activities, and ensures compliance with all provisions of the Company’s 401(k) Plan.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA desired.
• ·Eight to twelve years of experience, with at least three years of experience in a similar role with a small to middle-market firm.
• Experience communicating across all levels of an organization, including ownership, leadership, internal and external stakeholders, peers and subordinates.
