A growing private equity backed services company is hiring a Controller to build and lead its core accounting function. This reports directly to the CFO.
Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 base
This will require 4 days onsite in south Charlotte.
What you'll do
- Own foundational accounting cleanup — bank reconciliations, account tie-outs, audit-readiness
- Lead the receivables and payables teams
- Build consistent finance processes across multiple systems inherited through acquisitions
- Manage cash closely and support compliance with debt covenants
- Help shape finance operations as the company continues to scale through acquisition
What you bring
- Public accounting background — required
- Audit experience — required
- Proven ability to reconcile and prove out accounts from the ground up
- People-leadership experience managing a team
- CPA preferred
- Experience across multiple accounting systems, PE-backed environments, or debt covenants a plus
