About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing company in the Charlotte market is seeking an experienced Controller to join its leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on financial leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in financial management, accounting operations, and team development. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience leveraging NetSuite to drive financial visibility, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Position Summary

The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions while providing leadership and guidance to the accounting team. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure financial integrity, support business growth initiatives, and improve processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and oversee accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial analysis and business insights
• Manage external audit, tax, and banking relationships
• Drive process improvements and system optimization within NetSuite
• Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA a plus
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader
• Strong xhqgsiq expertise with NetSuite ERP
• Proven track record of managing and developing accounting teams
• Experience overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization
