We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer II to join our team. This position focuses on managing specialized work efficiently with attention to detail and a strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The role requires a disciplined, cautious approach to work.

General Job Duties

  • Perform GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
  • Design, develop and implement solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Consult with and train end users on new applications
  • Assist in project development and planning
  • Perform onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
  • Location of the position is local to St Louis, MO
  • Position requires 30 - 40% independent travel to customer locations

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered

Experience

  • 3-6 years of relevant working experience with:
  • PLC Programming: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens
  • Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with industrial application programming languages
  • Experience with Electrical Schematics
  • Acute attention to detail and process, strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service attitude

Preferred Experience

  • AutoCAD or Drafting experience
  • Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
  • Siemens PLC and SCADA platform experience
  • Rockwell PLC and SCADA platform experience
