We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer II to join our team. This position focuses on managing specialized work efficiently with attention to detail and a strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The role requires a disciplined, cautious approach to work.
General Job Duties
- Perform GrayMatter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
- Design, develop and implement solutions to resolve customer issues
- Consult with and train end users on new applications
- Assist in project development and planning
- Perform onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
- Location of the position is local to St Louis, MO
- Position requires 30 - 40% independent travel to customer locations
Knowledge, Skills And Experience Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training may also be considered
Experience
- 3-6 years of relevant working experience with:
- PLC Programming: Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens
- Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
- Experience with industrial application programming languages
- Experience with Electrical Schematics
- Acute attention to detail and process, strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service attitude

Preferred Experience
- AutoCAD or Drafting experience
- Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
- Siemens PLC and SCADA platform experience
- Rockwell PLC and SCADA platform experience
