The technician will work closely with other team members to complete control panels, ensuring all components are correctly wired and meet the specifications outlined in blueprints, manuals, and schematics.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret instructions, manuals, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and wiring of control panels.Layout, mount, and wire electrical components in custom PLC panels.Drill and tap metal backplanes for component installation.Collect and organize necessary materials and equipment for each project.Take precise measurements to ensure components fit properly within the panel.Perform quality checks on final assemblies to ensure uniformity and functionality.Maintain equipment in good working conditions and report any malfunctions or defective parts to leadership.Record production quantities, time, and progress.Work closely with other technicians to ensure the successful completion of projects in a timely manner.Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear, including safety goggles.Test and inspect components for adherence to quality control standards.May perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience as an electrical technician or in a related fieldAbility to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematicsUnderstanding of quality control principles and practicesExperience with layout and wiring of custom PLC panels preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with standard power and hand toolsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWork Environment and Physical RequirementsWork is performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesAbility to stoop, reach, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of timeAbility to push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 poundsMay be required to climb stairs, kneel, or crouch to access equipment or retrieve materials
