Civil Construction - Contracts and Purchasing Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in supply chain management and 15+ years prior experience in procurement, supply chain management and inventory management
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial management, and business contract law required
- International purchasing experience is a plus
ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to research and analyze various types of data, including financial analysis
- Ability to use judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and laws
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Possesses good understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and procedures
- Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements in sourcing and supply management
- Manages the entire purchasing process from start to finish, including:
- Conducting initial research with the end-user
- Communicating with potential suppliers
- Negotiating terms of purchasing agreement
- Issuing purchase order(s)
- Monitoring the delivery status and receipt of goods
- Effectively purchases consumable goods (safety supplies, hand tools, etc.), construction materials (concrete, rebar, PT, etc.), equipment (generators, concrete buckets, etc.), and services (rental equipment) at a national level in order to maximize profits. This includes:
- Standardizing items as much as possible among the regions, in order to improve purchasing power by buying in bulk.
