Contracts Manager

The HT Group is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with a client in Beaumont, TX. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM, with potential hybrid flexibility for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract negotiations, drafting, reviewing, and redlining agreements, preferably within construction, industrial, or oil and gas environments. This is a hands‑on role requiring someone comfortable managing a high volume of contracts, identifying contractual risks, and independently negotiating terms. A legal background is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate contracts, purchase orders, and agreements with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and business partners


• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including contract execution, amendments, renewals, compliance, and closeout


• Independently negotiate contract terms and identify potential legal, financial, and operational risks


• Review contractual insurance requirements, indemnification provisions, liability terms, and risk exposure


• Collaborate with internal legal counsel, corporate risk management, and project teams to resolve contractual issues and ensure compliance


• Oversee daily contract management operations, maintain accurate records, and supervise departmental support staff


• Assist with contract disputes, audits, process improvements, and department training as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of contract management experience preferred, ideally within construction, industrial, or oil and gas industries


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; law degree preferred but not required


• Strong hands‑on experience with contract negotiations, drafting, reviews, and redlining required


• Working knowledge of contract law, contractual risk management, and compliance requirements


• Experience reviewing construction‑related insurance requirements and contractual liability provisions preferred


• Experience in marine, piling, civil, commercial, or residential construction is a plus


• Ability to independently manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
