As a Contract Administrator - Level 3, located in Chandler, AZ, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position can also be based out of Melbourne, FL.A Contract Administrator produces high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Launch and Exploration Division (LED) Targets and Interceptors Operating Unit (TAIOU) programs.
This position requires a basic understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented approach.In this job, you will:Prioritize proposal activities and working on multiple tasks simultaneouslyIdentify contractual risks and mitigate with appropriate contract provisionsServe as key business advisor to the program managers on contractual and operational mattersPlan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates, favorable terms and conditions on both contracts and other agreements inclusive of teaming agreements required to assist in mitigating risk and meeting overall financial goalsMaintain our excellent working relationship with customers to effectively communicate, administer, modify, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contractual agreements.Make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlinesOffer guidance and work collaboratively with a multitude of organizations ranging from engineering, program management, finance, global supply chain, and security for seamless contract administrationEnter and manage data in the Contract Management System (CMS)Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant professional contracts experience - OR - Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant professional contracts experience.Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degreeExperience negotiating and administering various contract typesKnowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements.Knowledge of multiple contract types including Fixed Price and Cost Type with various fee structures.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active Secret clearance at time of applicationRecent experience as a Contracts Administrator for Department of Defense contractsCurrent Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security ClearanceWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARSMBA or JDThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
