If selected, day ONE you are this company's employee!This opportunity is ideal for an experienced contract administrator, paralegal, or contracts professional looking to negotiate commercial agreements, identify and manage contractual risk, and make a meaningful impact. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you'll play a key role in reviewing and negotiating contracts while partnering with legal, operations, and project management teams to help protect the organization's legal and business interests.Responsibilities of the Contract Specialist:Draft, review, revise, negotiate, and administer commercial agreements including construction contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, temporary labor agreements, and service agreementsReview contract markups and negotiate revisions with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and business partnersReview prime contracts and ensure proper flow-down of contractual obligations to subcontractorsReview subcontractor exclusions, qualifications, and deviations from standard contract languageManage contract intake, routing, approvals, execution, and document controlTrack contract compliance, notices, deadlines, and contractual obligations throughout the contract lifecycleDevelop and maintain efficient contract management processes to improve organization, tracking, and complianceMaintain organized contract files while supporting company-wide contract administration and risk management initiativesManage AIA Contracts, ConsensusDocs, and subcontract agreement systemsPartner with project managers to accurately interpret contract requirements and incorporate project terms into final agreementsAssist with developing and implementing contract administration procedures and risk management best practicesIdentify legal and commercial risks while helping protect the organization's interestsRequirements:Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent industry experience preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration, commercial contracting, paralegal, legal support, or contract managementExperience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreementsExperience supporting commercial contracts within construction, manufacturing, engineering, architecture, legal, procurement, or other project-based environments preferredWorking knowledge of contract administration and risk managementFamiliarity with AIA Contracts, ConsensusDocs, vendor agreements, or other commercial contract management systems preferredAbility to independently manage multiple contracts while balancing competing priorities and deadlinesStrong organizational, communication, negotiation, and documentation management skillsAbility to identify legal and commercial risks within contract languageProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookPreferred Qualifications:Attorney or Juris Doctor (JD) backgroundExperience working in construction law or commercial lawExperience with AIA Contracts and/or ConsensusDocsWhat's in it for you?Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramHealth Savings AccountESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)401(k) - Match up to 4%PTODoes this sound like the opportunity you have been seeking?
