Our client, a large private Milwaukee based preparatory grade/high school is seeking a Contract Recruiter to assist with hiring for the school year. Hiring expectations are over 50 new employees, mostly educators (85%), with some support and administrative hiring expected (15%). This is a WORK FROM HOME contract which will include initial training on site in Milwaukee and the ability to be onsite for a monthly staff meeting. The role pays $33 per hour based on experience, interviews within the week of 11/16/2026 and anticipates a December Start date and an April 2027 end date once all hires are made for the Fall 2027 school year.
The key to this role is past experience as a recruiter managing a high-volume requisition workload with the ability to bring organization, process implementation coaching, improvement, and energy to an Educator based hiring environment. The contract recruiter will:
- Post jobs and create a posting strategy to advertise a variety of roles within an educational setting (Month of December).
- Utilize innovative sourcing tools – Linked IN Recruiter Seat provided - and techniques to attract top-tier talent.
- Manage Applicants (1000+ expected) and screen/distribute accordingly to leadership.
- Deliver initial candidate screening on logistical information
- Give direction and assignment to one administrative support person assigned to assist with all administrative tasks of this hiring project.
- Schedule interviews with leaders.
- Process hires and coordinate offer letters.
- Keep leaders updated as to candidate and position status.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with leadership to identify and select the best candidates for open positions and promotional opportunities.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements
- Help to create processes and procedures for future hiring efforts.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years full life cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience coaching and teaching clients about best recruiting practices.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter
- Proficiency with Google Office Suite of tools
- Ability to interview within the week of 11/16/2026
- Ability to fulfill a contract assignment December 2026 through March 2026 – 12+ weeks.
