Shift: 12 Hours; Days, 7a-7.30p
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Med Surg Nursing experience:Recent/Current 2 years – Required
- Prior Travel experience – Highlypreferred
Education, Licenseand Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highlypreferred
- RN License for State of NV - Required
- BLS, ACLS Certifications fromAHA- Required
- NIHSS Certification - Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects of Nursingcare for patients in Med Surg units.
- Responsible for utilizing thenursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age ofthe patients served in the Med Surg as directed by nursing management.
- Nursing care is provided inaccordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by theNursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professionalorganizations.
- The Registered Nurse isaccountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.
- Being effectively involved withmaintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment,planning, implementation, and Evaluation
- Safely and accurately administermedications
- Participate in patient and familyteaching
- Records information concisely,accurately and completely.
- Participates in multidisciplinarytreatment planning and revises plan of care based on assessment.
