All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.Females are encouraged to apply to this field-based position.Duties, Responsibilities & OtherThis Construction Inspector position will provide assistance to experienced inspectors.Perform construction inspection and reporting of erosion and sediment control, concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement.Maryland MARTCP Concrete, HMA, Soils and Agg, MOT and MDE Erosion and Sediment Control certifications are a plus.Must prepare detailed and timely reports to document construction progress, inspection, and testing results.Prepare necessary records and measure field quantities, conduct field tests, and other tests that may be required to determine contractor's compliance with contract specifications.Driver's license is required as a condition of employment.
Day and/or night work required to support the contractor's schedule.QualificationsAssociates degree in Civil Engineering Technology or applicable field.4 - 8 years of experience required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
