Contracts Manager / Contract Manager – Data Center Construction

We are working with a General Contractor delivering a major 350,000 sq. ft. ground-up data center project in the South Bend, Indiana area and are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Contract Manager to join the project team.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in construction contracts, subcontract management, commercial management, contract administration, procurement, change management and claims on large-scale data center or mission critical construction projects.
Recent data center construction experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction contracts, subcontracts and subcontractor agreements
- Lead contract administration across the project lifecycle
- Review scopes of work, contract terms, commercial terms and subcontract requirements
- Support procurement, bid packages, subcontractor selection and contract award
- Manage change orders, variations, claims and contractual notices
- Track contract compliance, scope gaps and commercial risk
- Review subcontractor performance against contractual obligations
- Support commercial negotiations with subcontractors and vendors
- Manage contract documentation, insurance, bonds and required compliance records
- Work closely with Project Managers, Project Executives, Superintendents, Commercial Managers and Procurement teams
- Support cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
- Identify contractual risks and support risk mitigation strategies
- Support dispute resolution, claims management and commercial closeout
- Manage final accounts, contract closeout and subcontractor reconciliation
