Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 7.00p - 7.30a
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, Mon-Fri, Every otherweekend
Position Requirements
- Current Med Surg Nursingexperience: 2 years - Required
- Travel experience of at least 6 months - Required
- COVID Vaccinations or exemptions- Required
Education, Licenseand Certification Requirements
- ASN - Required
- BSN – Preferred
- RN License for State of NewHampshire or Compact - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA- Required
- ACLS Certification from AHSA –Required
- PALS Certification from AHSA - Required
Job Description
- Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participatesin patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by workingcooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel inmaintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinicalsetting for assigned units (Med Surg)
- Responsible for meetingthe total nursing needs of the patient/ family across the care continuum,consistent with the policies and procedures of the Department of Nursing andthe New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act.
- Maintain patient chartsand enter charges according to established policy.Assist in the transfer of patients to otherhealthcare facilities.
- Able to respondappropriately to CODE RED, CODE BLUE, CODE PINK AND CODE ORANGE.
- Escorts patients to theircars at the time of discharge.
- Administration of blood,blood products, and specific drugs to outpatients.
