Junior IT Embedded Risk ManagerThis is a 12-Month Contract with potential for full-time hire at end of engagement.Junior IT Embedded Risk Manager is responsible for day-to-day IT risk management activities, managing deadlines and stakeholder expectations, and leading or participating in area risk projects. In carrying these responsibilities, the incumbent must work collaboratively with the area teams, IT Risk Management, Audit, Compliance and other risk and control functions.Specific ResponsibilitiesUtilize strong technical writing skills to develop and edit area policy and procedure documentsManages area risk incidents from identification through remediation and monitors trendsManages area issues and actions ensuring timely completionProactively lead and support efforts to identify and mitigate risk within the areaDevelop, communicate and ensure adherence to area risk policies, procedures and best practicesReassess existing processes and create new ones that most effectively anticipate, manage and reduce risk to the areaDemonstrate and embed the behaviors and competencies that create a risk management mindset within the areaSupport ongoing staff education and coach and develop team members on effective risk managementAdvises and challenges the acceptance of area risksContributes to, reviews, and validates the accuracy of risk assessments conducted by the second line of defense (New Initiatives, Third Party Risk, TRM, Compliance)Monitors area IT Capability regulatory requirementsSupports area regulatory responsesServes as audit liaison for the areaSupport reviews of initiative portfolio risks with stakeholders and New Initiatives OfficeNOTE: All candidates presented must know that when hired for the role that they will be started out working remote initially due to COVID-19 with Client offices closed but that they must be expected to work onsite in the office once offices are reopen.QualificationsMinimum of 2-4 years of related experience in technology management, support or risk managementBachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or related experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Software Product suites (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skills
