Looking for a hardware engineer with 8-10 years of experience, with experience on FIRE regulatory compliance (UL864) and testing activities.What candidate will be doing:Collaborate with certification and approval agencies such as UL, FM, CSFM, and international regulatory bodies to secure approvals for new productsDevelop effective compliance and certification strategiesAssist in planning and setting up test configurations to meet regulatory requirementsCoordinate and support testing activities with approval agencies at external test labsManage and maintain certification listings for existing products, ensuring continued complianceReview product designs, schematics, BOMs, and layouts for regulatory complianceProvide guidance to cross-functional engineering teams on regulatory and compliance requirementsPrepare and maintain technical files, test reports, and compliance documentationProvide support for compliance activities, including performing basic troubleshooting when requiredStay updated on changes in regulatory standards and communicate impact to stakeholdersCollaborate effectively with design, quality, and testing teams to support product development activitiesWhat we are looking for:Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical engineeringMinimum of 3 years of experience managing UL certification projects, including end-to-end coordination from submission through final approvalWorking knowledge of UL standards (e.g., UL 864), certification processes, and product file structuresUnderstanding of product safety testing and failure analysisStrong foundation in electrical engineering principles and product safety conceptsStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred knowledge of commercial fire system components and functionalityPreferred awareness of industry standards such as NFPA, NEC, NEMA, FCC, CISPR, EN, or other global regulatory standards
