Contract Director of Nursing (Skilled Nursing) leads nursing operations in a long-term care setting, ensuring high-quality geriatric care and regulatory compliance. The role oversees staffing, training, and care planning for residents in Winona, Minnesota, for a 26-week assignment. The director collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to drive patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality geriatric care in the long-term care unit.

• Oversee daily nursing operations and staffing schedules to meet patient needs efficiently.

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.

• Document and assess resident progress, updating care plans accordingly.

• Implement training and mentorship programs for nursing staff to foster professional development.

Qualifications:

• Minnesota RN license

• AHA BLS certification

• Minimum of 2+ years geriatric nursing experience

• At least 2 years in a long-term care facility

• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in geriatric or long-term care nursing

• Leadership or management certification

• Proficiency with Matrix EMR system

• Previous experience as a Manager, Lead, or Director of Nursing
