Our client, an investment management firm, is hiring a Contracts Counsel to own commercial contracting for the business. This is a hands-on in-house role for an attorney who already uses AI and automation tools in their work.
What you'll do
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of commercial and vendor contracts, including research, data, software licensing, telecom, consulting and hardware
- Use AI-enabled legal and contract-management tools to speed up review, drafting, negotiation and workflow, with attorney oversight
- Administer the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system and track contract terms and renewals
- Balance legal and practical business considerations while working with teams across the firm
- Handle day-to-day legal inquiries from business units
- Support legal operations and special projects as needed
What you bring
- JD
- Hands-on experience using AI and automation tools in contract work (required)
- Strong negotiation, drafting and communication xhqgsiq skills
- Financial services, investment management or law firm experience preferred
- Sharp judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Enthusiasm for working in the office
