The role blends hands-on project leadership with strategic influence.Role OverviewAs an Operational Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Lean/Continuous Improvement specialists and driving operational excellence by deploying Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methods, and structured problem-solving across the site, specifically within our Formulation areas.You will partner closely with site leadership to define a Lean strategic vision, translate it into a roadmap, and ensure disciplined execution. Through coaching, influence, and leadership, you will enable sustainable performance improvement and cultural transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a team of Lean / Continuous Improvement specialists, ensuring capability growth and consistent deployment of methods.Lead and drive Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, specifically our Formulation areas, to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement.Partner with functional leaders to help develop and execute the Lean strategic vision and multi-year roadmap.Drive site-level strategic transformation projects through influence, coaching, and change leadership.Lead, plan, and facilitate Lean events and improvement activities, including Kaizen workshops, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), A3 problem solving, chalk circles, and Gemba walks.Identify, prioritize, and manage a portfolio of continuous improvement projects aligned with business objectives.Apply Industrial Engineering methods such as time studies, flow analysis, system optimization, and statistical analysis to identify and implement improvements.Improve line and process performance using OEE/OLE methodologies, process control strategies, centerlining, and maintenance systems.Utilize knowledge of manufacturing systems and automation, including software, controls, and automated, semi-automated, and manual filling and packaging equipment.Build Lean capability and leadership behaviors across the organization by coaching and developing others.Communicate progress and outcomes through strong presentations and data-driven storytelling.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree required with relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or related fieldsMinimum 7 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operational excellence roles.Experience in a leadership or people management role.Demonstrated experience in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and project/program management.Strong leadership and change management capabilitiesProven ability to influence at all levels with excellent communication and presentation skills.Certifications in Lean Leadership and/or continuous improvement tools (A3, Kaizen, VSM, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.Willingness to travel up to 10% to other site locations.This Role Is a Strong Fit If You:Have deep knowledge of Lean principles, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.Think strategically and enjoy leading transformation initiatives that are customer-focused and business-driven.Are hands-on, data-oriented, and skilled at identifying improvement opportunities using Lean, statistical, and industrial engineering techniques.Are open-minded, adaptable, and thrive in change-driven environments.Demonstrate Lean leadership and sensei behaviors, strong executive presence, and credibility on the shop floor and in the boardroom.Enjoy developing others by building skills, capability, and ownership of continuous improvement across the organization.The base pay range for this position is:$137,910 - $189,629Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
