Title: Content Designer I
Description: Open to remote-would like them to work PST hours. TurboTax is looking for a mid-level Experience Designer to own the design and continuous testing of our marketing "front door" through content templates, campaign landing pages, and store/local market pages that shape a customer's very first impression of TurboTax. You'll take our design system, brand playbooks, and toolkits and turn them into fast, on-brand, test-validated experiences — partnering closely with web ops, channel owners, strategic stakeholders, and agency partners to keep every front-door surface performing and on-strategy. This role sits within marketing XD and reports into the Digital Ecosystem Marketing team. You'll work across both of our core cycles: tax season (rapid iteration and testing at scale) and planning season (systems, playbooks, and toolkit development for the year ahead).
What You'll Own
- Front-door experience design & copy — design and iterate on content articles, campaign landing pages, and store/local market pages, owning both layout and on-page copy so message and design ship as one cohesive experience.
- Design systems, playbooks & toolkits — apply and help evolve our internal design system, brand playbooks, and toolkits so front-door pages stay fast to produce and consistent at scale.
- Build feasibility — partner with web ops to ensure designs are technically feasible, performant, and implemented as intended across templates and CMS constraints.
- Stakeholder alignment — collaborate with channel owners and strategic stakeholders to translate business goals and campaign briefs into experience design that drives measurable growth.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in experience/product design, ideally with direct exposure to marketing, growth, or conversion-focused design work.
- Heavy, hands-on Figma fluency — component libraries, auto layout, variables/design tokens, and prototyping. You should be able to build and maintain scalable design system assets, not just use them.
- Proven experience designing within — and contributing to — established design systems, brand playbooks, and internal toolkits.
- Strong visual craft — able to produce a range of responsive assets (content pages, landing pages, localized/store pages) from style guides quickly and consistently.
- Strong copywriting instincts — comfortable drafting and refining on-brand marketing copy (headlines, body, CTAs) for content articles and landing pages, and partnering with brand/content teams when copy needs deeper craft.
- Customer-centric design mindset with a passion for creating experiences that resonate emotionally and drive business results.
How You'll Work
- Web ops — daily collaboration to keep designs buildable, performant, and true to intent within CMS/template constraints.
- Channel owners & strategic stakeholders — regular partnership (Marketing Managers through Directors, cross-business-unit) to align design decisions to business goals and campaign priorities.
- Design & measurement peers — collaborate with fellow designers, data science, and measurement partners to keep the experimentation pipeline moving and insights flowing back into design.
- Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews, advancing a strong point of view backed by customer data, design rationale, and industry trends.
- Self-organize and manage multiple concurrent projects across content, campaign, and local-market surfaces.
