Duties
- Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including foreclosures, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, appeals, and trial preparation.
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial disputes.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Advise clients on risk assessment and litigation strategies.
- Assist with negotiating and drafting agreements to resolve distressed loan products.
Requirements
- Must be admitted to the Ohio bar and be in good standing.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation preferred.
- Experience in consumer financial services litigation and/or commercial litigation considered a plus.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Certifications
Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
