Overview
- Role involves defending financial services companies in both state and federal courts.
- Work requires a working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and other federal and state consumer protection statutes.
- Responsibilities include representing mortgage servicers and/or originators in contested foreclosures, quiet title actions, title disputes, and related claims.
- Works primarily with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit.
- Candidates residing and licensed in California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, or Ohio are strongly preferred; those applying for the virtual office (The Link) must be licensed in their state of residence.
