Your role and environment

Based at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, VA, you will provide consultation‑liaison psychiatry services across medical and surgical units. The setting includes:

• A 110‑bed hospital with 32 inpatient psychiatry beds.
• A robust outpatient psychiatry clinic and OBOT program.
• System‑wide telemedicine reach across seven hospitals, including rural and critical access sites.
• Dedicated mental health care coordinators and a 24/7 call center.
• A distinct 24/7 Emergency Psychiatry team covering all Emergency Departments.
• Access to specialized services like Interventional Psychiatry, Brain Injury Medicine, and Geriatric Psychiatry.

What you bring

• Fellowship training in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry, or
• Combined training (IM‑Psychiatry, FP‑Psychiatry, or similar), or
• Significant (≥2 years) experience in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry.
