Consultant, Continuous Improvement

As a Consultant in our Continuous Improvement practice, you will work with our clients by:

• Assisting in the assessment of client operations through off-site data analysis as well as on-site process analysis
• Working with front line client staff on implementation of Continuous Improvement processes, systems, and disciplines.

Most days your work will take place at client sites in industrial manufacturing facilities. Our initiatives span everything from production, quality control, fiber recovery, product optimization, production scheduling, maintenance planning and execution, timber procurement, and more.

Your engagements will be at the client’s site and will require weekly travel. A typical work week will have you departing home on Monday morning and returning home late Thursday evening, with Fridays spent working from home on project or other assigned work.

You will be a part of a team of Consultants whose job it is to deliver client projects. While our highly experienced team has an excellent track record of delivering extreme customer satisfaction in this industry, you will be expected to bring thoughts and ideas that challenge thinking and procedure, and drive our processes, approach, and methodologies to continually improve. Your enthusiasm and effectiveness will help grow our reputation, and thereby help us grow our business.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or other related field (required)
• 1+ year of experience working in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Performance Improvement in any industry
• Alternatively, 2+ year of experience working in a leadership role in manufacturing operations
• Capable of easily interacting with our client staff at the shop floor level
• Strong presentation and written communication skills
• Fluency in Spanish (ideal, but not required)
• Ability to be pragmatic, resilient and innovative in problem solving and issue resolution
• Strong analytical mindset and skills and excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Comfort working in the great small town communities where our clients have their operations
• Candidate will ideally live in/near the greater Salt Lake City, UT metropolitan area

Pay

$60,000 - $80,000 per year
