Compensation

Salary range: $65,000 - $95,000 (base pay; additional compensation may vary based on experience and market conditions).

Job Summary

Altus Group is seeking a Real Estate Valuation Consultant for its Advisory, Altus Analytics division in Atlanta. The role involves managing daily workflow with clients, subordinates, and supervisors; overseeing the quarterly valuation process for institutional real estate funds; and handling all aspects of appraisal management and real estate investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced Excel skills, including VBA programming, data simulation, analytics, and complex formulas (e.g., macros, Power Query, pivot tables, Power Pivot, dynamic name ranges).
• Improve client deliverables by visualizing quantitative data through tables, charts, graphs, diagrams, plots, geospatial maps, figures, correlation matrices, and dashboards.
• Interpret client requests and delegate tasks to team members.
• Manage projects and engagements to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Review and coach junior staff work before it is sent to clients or third parties.
• Review third‑party appraisal reports, resolve concerns with clients and appraisers.
• Ensure appraisal reports comply with USPAP and state regulations.
• Maintain client communication throughout the valuation engagement and create or review portfolio metric presentations.
• Build relationships with peers at client firms.
• Deliver high‑quality service and technical excellence.

Key Qualifications

• University or college degree in Finance, Statistics, Data/Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong Excel proficiency and experience with VBA.
• Experience in Commercial Real Estate Valuation, Asset Management, Acquisitions, or Underwriting.
• Expertise in financial modeling for commercial property types (office, industrial, retail, and/or multifamily) using ARGUS.
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills (managing deadlines, creating plans, evaluating results, and handling at‑risk tasks).
• Experience with client deliverable life cycle and proven record of successful deliverable management.
• Additional skills in R or Python statistical programming, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, or Snowflake are a plus.
