Orthopedic Surgery — Consult/Inpatient Physiatrist, Academic Position
The University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is recruiting for a Physiatrist with experience in adult inpatient consults, inpatient adult acute rehabilitation units, and general physiatry outpatient clinics in an academic or multispecialty setting. The selected candidate will be appointed to the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In‑Residence faculty series. This position may be based in San Francisco and other specialty locations.
Selected candidates will participate in clinical care activities at our inpatient and outpatient facilities, collaborate in clinical and/or basic research, and publish subsequent results in peer‑reviewed journals.
Salary – The minimum base salary for this position is $154,700. The position includes membership in the Health Sciences compensation plan which may provide additional compensation. Total negotiated salary can range up to $1,500,000 depending on qualifications, clinical productivity, and other factors assessed at the time of offer.
Requirements
- A valid California medical license
- MD or DO degree from an accredited program
- Completed an accredited Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program
- Board certified or eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Applicant’s materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission
