Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)Join IDS International's National Security Services team supporting secure & mission-critical environments. The CST supports construction security operations within a cleared environment by monitoring site activities, analyzing construction designs, and identifying potential security vulnerabilities. This role operates on an active construction site and requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, apply knowledge of surveillance detection principles, and document findings.

The CST is responsible for maintaining continuous observation of construction processes and ensuring adherence to security requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate inspection and surveillance equipmentUtilize knowledge of construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineeringRead and analyze construction designs and blueprints to determine intended useAnalyze structural designs and complexities that may conceal unintended or unauthorized purposesApply knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and surveillance detection principlesWrite detailed reports in English documenting findings, issues, and security situationsMaintain daily logs during assigned shiftsRequired QualificationsClearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) requiredCitizenship: U.S. CitizenAge: 21 years or olderCertification: Active CST certification requiredEducation: High school diploma or GED equivalentRequired Experience:Minimum five (5) years of experience in at least one of the following areas:Construction security surveillanceTechnical surveillance countermeasuresIndustrial or government security involving counterintelligenceConstruction quality assuranceSupervisory construction experienceExperience using alarm systems, metal detectors, x-ray devices, and closed-circuit television systemsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprintsAbility to analyze designs and structural complexitiesKnowledge of construction disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering)Knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)Familiarity with IC Tech Spec, Version 1.5.1 for ICD/ICS 705Ability to communicate effectively in English and produce written reports and analysesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout secure facilities for extended periods of timePosition may require occasional lifting and/or movement of moderate amounts of weight, depending on assignment requirementsPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with NRO or NSA within the past 12–18 months for crossover suitabilityWork Schedule & ConditionsSchedule: Monday–FridayHours: Guaranteed 40 hours per weekOvertime may be available or required. Flexibility may be required based on project needs.Compensation & BenefitsRate: $ 46.00 per hourBenefits: Health, 401(k), PTO & Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays are available to all W2 employees of IDSAdjusted hourly rates and daily per diem may be available for non-local and/or travel assignments.
