Superintendent - High-End Commercial Interiors | NYC
We’re working with a well-established New York City general contractor looking to add an experienced Superintendent to its team.
The role will focus on high-end commercial interior projects across NYC , with a particular interest in Superintendents who have delivered luxury restaurant, hospitality, retail, or similarly detailed interior build-outs .
The Role
You’ll take day-to-day ownership of projects in the field, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule and quality, and working closely with Project Management and client teams from mobilization through closeout. Typical responsibilities include:
- Managing all day-to-day site operations
- Coordinating subcontractors and sequencing trades
- Maintaining project schedules and driving milestones
- Overseeing quality control and ensuring a high standard of finish
- Managing site safety and compliance
- Coordinating inspections, deliveries and site logistics
- Working closely with Project Managers, architects, consultants and clients
- Managing punch list and project closeout
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor
- Strong background in commercial interior construction in New York City
- Experience delivering high-end / luxury interiors
- Restaurant and hospitality experience is particularly desirable
- Strong understanding of NYC construction, subcontractors and site logistics
- Ability to manage fast-paced projects with demanding schedules and finish requirements
- Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
