Project Superintendent – Utility-Scale Solar
Location: North Carolina | Full-Time | Travel Required
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead all field operations on utility-scale solar projects, from mobilization through commissioning. You'll direct subcontractors and crews, drive the schedule, and keep the site safe and the work to spec.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.
- Manage subcontractors, field supervisors, and craft labor.
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work, and maintain the project schedule.
- Ensure work meets IFC drawings, specifications, permits, and contract requirements.
- Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations, and lead toolbox talks.
- Resolve field issues and coordinate inspections with QC, engineering, and the client.
- Track production, manpower, and equipment, and maintain daily reports.
- Support commissioning, punch list, and turnover.
Qualifications
- 8 years in construction, including 4 years as a superintendent on utility-scale solar or heavy civil projects.
- Ability to read IFC drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
