LaRosaBuildingGroup,LLC,aGeneralContractor/ConstructionManager,isseekingaConstructionSuperintendentwithaminimumof10years’experienceasaConstructionSuperintendent.Thisopeningisformultiplefull-timelong-termpositioninConnecticutandoffersbenefits.Positionisopenandavailableimmediately.ApplicantsmustpossesstheessentialskillsandexperiencelistedintheJobDescriptionbelow.Experiencewithoutofthegroundmultifamilywoodframedprojectsispreferred.Basiccomputerskillsarerequired;familiaritywithProcoresoftwareishelpfulbutnotnecessarilyrequired.Experiencemanagingprojectsisarequirement.

Responsibilities

Responsibilitieswillincludebutnotlimitedtoscheduling,coordinatingandsupervisingalltradecontractorsonsite.Maintaindailylogs,attendjobmeetings,maintainasbuilt’sandcloseoutdocs.Assistinresolvingconstructionproblems.Qualifiedapplicantsmusthaveknowledgeofallaspectsofconstruction.

    • Supervisessubcontractorsandforementoensuretimelyandqualitycompletionofcontractedwork.
    • Planandcoordinateconstructionactivities,inspectconstructionworkinprogress,andreviewmaterialsforcompliancewithspecifications,plans,andstandards.
    • InconjunctionwithProjectManager,manageprojectscheduletoensureallprojectdeadlinesareachieved.
    • CultivateaworkingrelationshipwithProjectManagers,ProjectLaborers,TradeContractorsandclientsinamannerthatencouragesacooperative,teameffortandprofessionalapproach.
    • Ensureprojectquality,cost,andschedulemeetorbeatestimates.
    • ServesasaliaisonbetweentheOwner,Architect,Engineer,ContractorandSubcontractortoresolvequestionsand/orconcernsarisingduringthecourseofconstruction.
    • AssisttheProjectManagerinpreparationofaggressivebutrealisticconstructionschedules.
    • Reviews,plansandscheduleswithProjectManagertoobtainpersonnel,materialandequipmentneedsandsubcontractorperformanceinamannerconsistentwithscheduledrequirements,budgetedcostandtimelydeliveries.
    • EnsurethatSafetyregulationsandSafepracticesarefollowedatalltimes.
    • Responsibleforimplementing,maintainingandenforcingallprojectsafetyprocedures.
    • Completeprojectrecords,includingdailyprojectprogressreportsandcrewtimesheets.
    • Holdweeklyjobprogressmeetingswithallsubcontractorstocoordinateprojectprogress.
    • MaintainaccurateAs-Builtdrawings.
    • ImplementQualityControlProgram.

Requirements

    • 10+yearsrelatedsupervisoryexperienceintheconstructionindustry.
    • Abilitytomeetdeadlines,staywithinbudget,andproduceanexceptionalproject.
    • Abilitytoplanaheadandextinguishpotentialissuesbeforetheybecomeissues.
    • Experiencesupervisingcommercialprojectsrangingfrom$1,000,000to$25,000,000.
    • Abilitytoorganizeandmanagemultiplepriorities.
    • ExcellentOrganizationalSkills
    • AbilitytoWorkinaTeamEnvironment
    • Abilitytoreadandunderstandtechnicaldata,interpretconstructiondrawings,architecturaldrawingsandspecifications.
    • Musthaveexperienceinalldivisionsofwork,methods,materialsandscheduling.
    • Basiclayoutskills.
    • Proficientwithcomputerskills.
    • Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
    • KnowledgeofSafetyregulationsandSafepracticesfortheConstructionIndustry.
    • OSHA30-HourCertification.
    • HighSchoolDegree
