AbouttheRole

AConstructionSuperintendent willleadday-to-dayfieldoperationsforresidentialand/orcommercialprojectsandisresponsibleformanagingjobsiteexecutionfromplanningthroughcompletion—drivingschedule,quality,safety,andcoordinationacrosstradesandstakeholders.TheSuperintendentworksinclosepartnershipwiththeProjectManagerandcommunicatesregularlywithowners,tenants,anddesignteamstoensureexpectationsaremetandconstructiondocumentsareexecutedtoNWBCstandards.

KeyResponsibilities

• Meetwithbuildingowners/tenantstoreviewbuild-outspecificationsandplannedimprovements
• Createestimatesforbuild-outprojects(labor,materials,supplies,andancillarycosts)
• Coordinateallconstructionservicesandactivitieson-site
• Maintainandmanagedaily/weekly/monthlyschedulesandsupportbudgetcontrol;adjustasneededtohitdeadlines
• Leadandmanageon-siteconstructioncrewsandsubcontractors
• AttendproductionmeetingsandmaintainconstantcommunicationwiththeProjectManager
• Maintainadailyjobsitelogandtakedailyphotos
• EnsureworkmeetsqualityexpectationsofNewWestBuildingCompany,theclient/designteam,andtheconstructiondocuments
• Placematerialordersandmaintainresponsibilityforequipmentandmaterialson-site
• Monitorsafetycompliance;maintainprojectsafety/injurylogsandupholdsafeworkpractices
• Maintainsitecleanlinessandoverallorderliness
• Keepdetailedrecordsforsitepersonnelandjobsiteactivities
• Overseeallphasesoftheprojectthroughcompletion
• Performotherdutiesasprojectneedsarisetosupporttheoverallsuccessoftheprojectandtheprojectteam

Qualifications&Experience

• Minimum5yearsofexperienceasaConstructionSuperintendentorinasimilarrole
• Strongunderstandingofconstructionoperations,sequencing,andfieldcoordination
• Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites
• ProficiencywithMSOfficeSuite(Project,Excel,Word),Procore,andBluebeam
• Demonstratedstrengthsin:
  • Organizationandtimemanagement
  • Leadershipandcollaborationwithdiverseinternal/externalpartners
  • Adaptability,responsiveness,andclearcommunication
• OSHA30certification
• Competentunderstandingof:
  • Safeworkpractices
  • Planreading,shopdrawings,andspecifications
  • Submittals,RFIs,andscopesofwork
  • Surveyingandchangeorders
  • QA/QCandcoderequirements
  • Inspectionschedulingandsignoff
• Abilitytoliftupto75pounds

Travel: Estimatedat15%orless(primarilyjobsite-to-jobsiteorjobsite-to-office).Avaliddriver’slicenseisrequiredforrequisitetravel.
