Senior Construction Superintendent – Indianapolis
A well-established general contractor in Indianapolis is looking to add an experienced Construction Superintendent to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong track record running commercial projects and wants to take ownership of projects from mobilization through completion.
About the Role
The Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, architects, owners, and other project stakeholders while serving as the primary leader on the jobsite.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead all day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects
- Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, and project coordination
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite
- Coordinate inspections, materials, deliveries, and manpower
- Work closely with the PM to maintain project schedule and budget
- Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documents
- Lead weekly subcontractor and progress meetings
- Communicate directly with owners, architects, engineers, and project leadership
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or cost
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Strong commercial construction background
- Experience with healthcare, education, institutional, or commercial projects
- Proven ability to independently lead jobsites
- Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and construction sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 30 and/or other safety certifications preferred
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software preferred
