Residential Construction Remodeling Assistant
Central Ohio - primarily Northwest Columbus, Downtown Columbus, and New Albany
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00-$35.00/hr, based on experience
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Remodeling Assistant with 10+ years of residential construction and remodeling experience. This hands-on position will assist with a variety of home improvement projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, drywall, and carpentry.
Job Duties

• Assist with framing, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
• Support lead carpenter and owner with remodeling projects
• Read and follow blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Perform demolition, site preparation, and cleanup
• Troubleshoot construction issues and assist with solutions
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and follow safety procedures
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
• Keep job sites clean and organized

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of residential construction/remodeling experience
• Experience with multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
• Must follow the company's no-smoking policy at job sites
