A well-established NYC general contractor and construction management firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys managing complex projects, working directly with clients, and leading teams from pre-construction through completion.
The company has a diverse portfolio spanning high-end commercial interiors, healthcare, hospitality, retail, institutional, residential, and ground-up construction .
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and procurement
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and contracts
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation
- Identify potential issues early and develop proactive solutions
- Conduct project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Monitor quality, safety, schedule, and overall project performance
- Support value engineering and cost‑control initiatives
- Ensure successful project closeout and client satisfaction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience with commercial interiors, healthcare, hospitality, retail, institutional, or high‑end residential construction
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Strong client‑facing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
