AbouttheRole
NewWestBuildingCompanyProjectManagersareresponsibleforoverseeingandcoordinatingallaspectsofaprojectfrompreconstructionthroughcloseoutandwarranty.Thisrolerequiresstrongcommunicationandcollaborationwithclients,designteams,andinternal/externalfieldandofficeteams.TheProjectManagerisaccountableformanagingbudget,quality,andschedulewhiledrivingalignmentacrossallstakeholders.
KeyResponsibilities
- Leadpreconstructioncoordination,includingestimatingsupportandcontractnegotiations
- Correspondwithsubcontractpartnersregardingscopes,proposals,andshopdrawings
- Workcloselywithinternalprojectteamstoresolvedesignissuesandensurestrongcoordinationbetweenfieldandofficestaff
- Coordinatewiththeowneranddesignteamtoincorporatecompetitivepricingand/orpresentvalueengineeringopportunities
- ConductsubcontractorandOACmeetingsweekly(orasneeded)tomaintainalignmentonprogressandactionabletasks
- Managechangeorderprocesseswithownersandsubcontractorsinatimelymanner
- UpholdastrongcommitmenttoOSHAandNWBCsafetypolicies,ensuringteammembersreturnhomesafelyeachday
- Coordinatewithfieldleadershiptoupdateandcontroltheprojectschedule
- Maintainproperdocumentcontrol,includingplans,RFIs,submittals,andotherprojectdocumentation
- Executecloseoutproceduresandprojectcommissioningwhilemaintainingapositiveownerrelationship
- Ensurepredictablemonthlybillingsandsubcontractorpaymentsbypartneringwiththeaccountingteam
PreferredQualifications&Experience
- Minimum4yearsofexperienceinasimilarProjectManagerrole
- Bachelor’sdegreepreferred
- Operationalexperiencewith:Procore,SageIntacct,Bluebeam,MicrosoftOffice,MSProject,Planera.
- Provenabilitytooperatesuccessfullyonlargeteamswithprofessionalism,respect,confidence,andenthusiasm
- Workingknowledgeofconstructionmanagementprocesses,applicablerules/regulations,andqualitystandards
