Project Manager - HCAI /OSHPD - Salinas/Monterey AreaTitle: Project Manager – HCAI / OSHPDLocation: Salinas / Monterey Area (Onsite required)Start Date: As soon as possibleSalary Range: $124,499 – $169,499 USDOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a HCAI/OSHPD-regulated hospital retrofit project in the Salinas/Monterey area. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of healthcare construction experience and be based close enough to manage the site effectively. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.Must HavesMinimum 5 years of project management experience in all phases of constructionProven experience managing healthcare construction projects under HCAI/OSHPD regulationsBased within commuting distance to the Salinas Valley Health site or willing to relocateStrong understanding of contract terms, scheduling, budgeting, and cost controlDemonstrated ability to manage project risk, safety, and qualityProficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and BluebeamBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, or equivalent experienceAbility to manage and maintain complex schedules and budgets while ensuring project deliveryNice to HavesPrevious experience with QSP, SWPPP, LEED, and sustainability programsFamiliarity with PlanGrid, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Primavera, Navisworks, or ViewpointExperience in proposal development, client presentations, and business developmentParticipation in community engagement, tradeshows, or industry conferencesExperience mentoring junior engineers or project staffBackground in managing multiple projects or fast-paced retrofit environmentsStrategic thinker with entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive problem-solving mindsetKnowledge of California construction compliance and permitting processesResponsibilitiesOversee tactical project execution from pre-construction through closeoutLead internal teams and trade partners to achieve project delivery on schedule and within budgetEnsure consistent quality and craftsmanship across all phases of the projectDevelop and manage project budgets, cost controls, manpower plans, and financial forecastsCoordinate project scheduling in partnership with superintendents and trade partnersManage subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and owner contract obligationsFoster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with jobsite safety protocolsCommunicate effectively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve issuesImplement quality control and environmental management plansConduct regular risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategiesLead project buyout efforts in collaboration with estimating and executive teamsSupervise and mentor project engineers, coordinators, and accountantsRepresent the company in meetings, interviews, and proposal presentations as neededEnsure full understanding and enforcement of contract provisions and notice requirementsPromote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
