The company provides heavy civil construction services from the design and bid phase through project completion and owner acceptance.The Project Manager / Engineer oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects, serving as a key liaison between office operations and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage projects from kickoff through completion, including planning, scheduling, and executionCoordinate job strategies, materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontractorsServe as a primary point of communication between office staff, field teams, subcontractors, and vendorsConduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, address issues, and support field operationsPrepare and maintain project documentation, including budgets, schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, COIs, lien notices, and submittalsMaintain accurate and organized project records throughout the project lifecycleSupport field teams with RFIs, scope changes (extras), and material quantity trackingAssist with project financials including subcontractor pay estimates, billings, and cost trackingCollaborate with CAD and engineering teams on drawings and project implementationReview geotechnical reports and soil borings to support planning and executionEvaluate site and soil conditions for piling, drilling, and related workSupport field implementation of design drawings following project awardQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Experience in heavy civil construction (piling, drilling, marine, or bridge work preferred)Strong understanding of construction methods and field operationsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and geotechnical reportsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsFrequent travel to active construction sitesWalking on uneven terrain and climbing as neededAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionallyScheduleMonday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMOccasional Saturdays based on project needsBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contribution or matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development and training opportunitiesCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesEqual Opportunity EmployerE.C.
