Construction Project Manager

• Responsible for managing industrial and facility-related projects, primarily at a single site/location.
• Role is considered both tactical and technical.
• Position requires ownership of project execution, contractor coordination, and plant-related projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage industrial construction and capital projects.
• Coordinate contractors and project resources.
• Scope and execute projects within plant operations.
• Build and manage construction schedules.
• Procure construction related permits.
• Assess equipment issues and determine appropriate next steps.
• Manage projects involving mechanical systems and facility infrastructure.
• Work with area and corporate teams on larger projects when needed.
• Oversee projects that may include pumps, pipes, valves, conveyors, and other plant equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to understand and work around industrial equipment.
• Ability to prepare construction bidding documents.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Experience coordinating technical, trade, environmental, and health and safety resources during design and construction activities.
• Experience coordinating contractors and project stakeholders in an industrial facility. Ability to operate independently and drive projects to completion.
• Strong problem-solving ability within an industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience in industrial operations.
• Civil/Mechanical/Chemical engineering background.
• Experience procuring construction permits.
• Experience commissioning new equipment.
• Construction management background.
• Experience working on mechanical systems within industrial facilities.

Experience Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing portions of full scale ownership of larger project
• Plant-based industrial environment.
• Candidate must be comfortable walking a facility and evaluating project-related issues.
• Must be able to interact with operations personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders.
