About the Opportunity

We are working with a well-established Alabama-based construction and project management firm that is growing its Huntsville team. They are looking for a Construction Project Manager with a strong general contracting background to oversee complex construction projects on behalf of the owner.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a GC, construction management, or owner-side environment who wants to take on greater responsibility for the overall project and serve as a key point of contact between the owner, architects, contractors, vendors, and other project partners.

What You'll Do

• Manage construction projects from planning and design through completion
• Serve as the owner's representative throughout the construction process
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and change orders
• Coordinate closely with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and vendors
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and overall performance
• Identify potential project issues and develop solutions to keep work moving
• Review project documentation, financial information, schedules, and contractor deliverables
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers and other project staff
• Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards
• Travel periodically to support projects throughout the region

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of construction project experience , with flexibility based on the strength of your background
• Experience managing or supporting large, complex construction projects
• Strong preference for candidates with general contractor experience
• Experience with both new construction and renovations is a plus
• Solid understanding of construction budgeting, cost control, procurement, and project accounting
• Strong knowledge of construction schedules and project documentation
• Experience with construction/project xhqgsiq management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with a variety of project stakeholders
• Valid driver's license
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required
