About the Opportunity A well-established General Contractor in Southern California is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. The company has a strong track record delivering public works, education, K-12 and DSA-regulated projects throughout Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to take ownership of high-quality projects while working with an established and respected contractor.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Take overall responsibility for project budget, schedule and profitability
- Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors
- Manage project documentation, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders and pay applications
- Review plans, specifications and project requirements
- Develop and maintain project schedules
- Monitor project costs and financial performance
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Identify and resolve project issues and potential delays
- Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Support estimating and preconstruction activities when required
- Ensure successful project closeout and turnover
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience working for a General Contractor
- Strong experience with public works and/or education construction
- DSA experience strongly preferredExperience managing projects from start to finish
