Project Engineer – Commercial ConstructionMcDonald York is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects across a variety of sectors.This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate documentation, subcontractors, and project processes—helping keep projects organized, on track, and moving forward.You'll have the opportunity to gain experience across a range of project types, including complex and technical environments such as life sciences and healthcare.Support project execution from start to finish, including scheduling and coordinationManage submittals, RFIs, and project documentationAssist with pay applications, cost tracking, and budget monitoringCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teamsTrack and manage change orders and project updatesParticipate in project meetings and maintain clear communication across teams1–5 years of construction experience (or relevant internship experience)Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredStrong organization, attention to detail, and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsEstablished, respected GC with over 100 years in the Raleigh marketOpportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial projectsExposure to complex, high-impact buildsClear path for growth into Project ManagementCollaborative, team-oriented cultureOSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Combination of office and field-based workCompetitive compensation and benefits
