Construction Project EngineerDeMaria is seeking an experienced team-oriented Construction Project Engineer. This person will be responsible for preparing complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications. Accountable for receiving approved submittals from Architect or Engineer and notifying the Project Superintendent of potential schedule impact.

Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests. Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract. Willingness to work on projects out of state if needed.SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Responsible for preparing complete, accurate, and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.

Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary back up relating to change requests. Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESConsistently follow DBC policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manualResponsible for the timely coordination of the submittal process (securing, reviewing, and distributing) to maintain the project schedule.Coordinate all aspects of the project closeout process.Secure back-up for all change requestsComplete Project Engineer Training Rotation ProgramADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESObtain all applicable permits if DBC is responsible, if not, determine if required information was sent to the proper city officeDistribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions.

Include any accepted alternates or addendums with documentsDistribute final requirement documentation to subcontractors and bookkeeperSchedule all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects and ownersTake accurate and complete meeting minutes and distribute timelyAttend and participate in all project meetings and company trainingQUALIFICATIONS (Skills, knowledge, experience)Bachelors degree in a construction-related field with a minimum of 2+ years construction related experienceFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction field.Strong and effective communicator, both verbally and written, who can interface cooperatively with various departments of the company, as well as clients and subcontractorsPossess good organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilityDetail oriented with the ability to multi-taskKeen financial aptitudeProficient in use, or quickly capable of learning Timberline and Microsoft Project softwareRepresent the company at all times with high moral and ethical conduct.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSSitting, standing, walking for extended period of timeOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouchUse hands and fingers to feel and handle itemsReach with arms and handsTalk, hear and seeAbility to drive a vehicle and maintain a valid drivers licenseLifting up to 50 poundsDISCLAIMER This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
