Construction Project EngineerThe Project Engineer assists and supports Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects. The position works under direct supervision, has the ability to supervise Office Engineers, performs routine daily activities and gathers and distributes information. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.Major duties and responsibilities include:Supervision of Office Engineers / Interns / Co-OpsReceive, review, forward and track status of submittalsInitiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFIsAssist in management of project permit processAssist in preparations of bid packages and procurementUpdate construction schedule based on project team input, Trade Contractor progress and materials deliveryChange management systems, including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change ordersTrack and inspect material deliveries - Compiles reports regarding financial performance of the projectAssist in preparation of monthly owner project status reports, as requiredAttend and/or leads project meetings, as directed by Project Manager and record meeting minutes - Assist and/or complete project close-outCommunicate and enforce Macallan Safety ProgramJob skills and abilities guidelines include:Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office productsBroad understanding of industryStrong written and verbal communication skillsFunctions effectively as part of a teamDependabilityAbility to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all timesAbility to understand and follow directionsGood time management skills and organizational skillsAbility to read drawings and specificationsEducation and/or experience:Bachelor's Degree - Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent up to 5 years of industry experienceExperience working with Microsoft Office; proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferredDrug Free (will be tested)Pre-employment background check
