Construction Project Coordinator (Federal Project)Position Type: Full-TimeLocation: Pittsburgh, University DriveSetting: Federal ProjectPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to manage the critical documentation, compliance, and administrative workflows for our federal construction project. The ideal candidate will serve as the central hub connecting project managers, subcontractors, and federal stakeholders, ensuring that all project administrative requirements are met flawlessly.Proven experience in construction administration is required.Education & Experience RequirementsCandidates must meet one of the following criteria to be considered:Option A: Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field AND a minimum of three (3) years of dedicated construction administration experience.Option B: High School Diploma / Equivalent AND seven to ten (7-10) years of progressive, hands-on construction administration experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Control: Manage, track, and log all project documentation, including Submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Change Orders, and Architectural Supplemental Instructions (ASIs).Federal Compliance: Assist with federal reporting requirements, which may include Davis-Bacon Act certified payroll tracking, certified payroll reviews, and maintaining local/federal compliance files.Meeting Administration: Schedule project progress meetings, draft and distribute comprehensive meeting minutes, and track action items to completion.Financial Assistance: Review subcontractor invoices, verify lien waivers, and compile monthly owner billing packages for project manager approval.Project Closeout: Organize, compile, and submit final closeout O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings to the federal client.Qualifications & Core SkillsConstruction Expertise: Absolute proficiency in standard construction administrative processes, terminology, and workflows.Federal Experience (Highly Preferred): Prior experience with federal contracting agencies (e.g., USACE, NAVFAC, GSA) and familiarity with systems like RMS or e-Builder is a major plus.Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel) and dedicated construction management software (e.g., Procore, Newforma).Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface professionally with federal government representatives.Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of passing a federal background check/security screening to obtain base or facility access.
