Construction Permitting SpecialistLocation: Englewood, CO Job Type: Contract-to-HirePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Construction Permitting Specialist to support utility infrastructure projects involving overhead and underground transmission and distribution lines. This role is responsible for securing Right-of-Way, Access, Right-of-Entry, and Encroachment Permits while coordinating with multiple jurisdictions and project stakeholders.The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple permitting processes simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & AnalysisPerform desktop reviews of project plans and identify applicable federal, state, and local permitting requirementsResearch permitting needs including utility installation permits, temporary construction access permits, and railroad encroachment permitsCoordinate with engineering and construction teams to gather necessary project details (civil, foundation, line, and restoration)Documentation & PermittingPrepare and assemble construction permit packages for internal reviewSubmit permit applications to governing agencies and track status through approvalCoordinate approvals for access, road crossings, and right-of-way occupancyData & Field SupportMaintain and update ArcGIS Online (AGO) with permit data, status tracking, and spatial informationParticipate in field reviews and site visits to support constructability assessments and data collectionTrack and document changes to construction plans as part of the change management processCoordinationSupport the Project Manager with stakeholder communication and coordination meetingsInterface with agencies such as state DOT, railroads, and local municipalitiesAssist with permit and agreement closeout following project completionQualificationsExperience working with construction permitting, utilities, or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with Right-of-Way, Access, Right-of-Entry, and Encroachment permitting processesAbility to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including engineering teams, construction personnel, and government agenciesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with ArcGIS Online (AGO) is preferredAdditional InformationWork involves coordination with agencies such as state transportation departments, railroads, and local public works organizationsCombination of office-based work and occasional field/site visitsAspen Technical Staffing CELEBRATING 25 YEARS ~ ~ We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
