From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.Step into your new role. Kleinfelder is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Construction Materials Engineering and Testing team in our San Jose, CA office. Position responsibilities include:Providing professional services for construction materials testing projectsPerforming accurate computations and reviewing laboratory test reportsReviewing daily observation reports and materials testing data sheetsCollaborating with staff, and actively working with clients to deliver complex programs/projectsAssisting with preparation of proposals and fee estimatesPlanning and execution of technical workAssisting with monitoring and controlling project budgetsPerforming additional various tasks at the discretion of the supervisorEnsuring project deadlines are met by providing proper scheduling, coordination, and organization of available resourcesEstablishing and maintaining relationships through excellent communication, professionalism, and having a client service focusConsideration for this position requires the following minimum competencies or experience:A minimum of 2 years of experience in materials testing, special inspection, construction management, and/or other construction-related engineering servicesA minimum of 2 years of demonstrated project management experience including budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, client coordination and subcontractor managementAbility to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing prioritiesExcellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug testAble to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)A good work ethic, attention to detail, and high level of personal integrityAuthorization to work in the United StatesIn addition to the above required competencies or experience, hiring preference will be given to those with the following certifications or experience:ACI, ICC, Caltrans, AASHTO, and/or NICET certificationsPrevious field and/or laboratory experienceKnowledge of multiple types of constructionProject management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), or equivalent construction/project management credentialsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementEngineer-In-Training (EIT) certificationProfessional Engineer LicenseMove Forward with Kleinfelder. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $75,850 - $126,585 annually.
