Construction Materials Engineering TechniciansS&ME is searching for motivated and hard-working Construction Materials Engineering Technicians at all experience levels to join our Construction Services group in Columbia, South Carolina.As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction projects, from local eateries to major sports venues, are built with quality and safety at the forefront. Whether you're new to the field or bring years of expertise, you'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to advance. Seasoned professionals can take on leadership roles, guiding projects and mentoring colleagues.Your day-to-day:Field & lab testing on construction materials like concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.Sample collection and preparation for analysis.Interpretation of test results and preparation of detailed reports.Team collaboration and compliance to ensure all work meets specifications and safety guidelines.Experience shifting work hours based on project demands and weather, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half).
