Construction Litigation Associate - Remote (CA License Required)Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify a Construction Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Construction Business Unit in Southern California. The attorney can work remotely from anywhere in the US but must be licensed and in good standing with the California bar. Familiarity with construction litigation is preferred but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesTrial preparation and courtroom experienceManaging case files with direct responsibilityDrafting and arguing motionsTaking and defending depositionsConducting legal research and drafting pleadings and briefsSupporting settlement negotiations and dispute resolution effortsQualificationsStrong advocacy, legal research, writing, and negotiation skillsExperience with motion practice and depositions requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to learn new areas of lawStrong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the California State BarCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $160,000 – $175,000 (DOE)Eligible for an annual discretionary bonusComprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHSA/FSA optionsShort- and long-term disabilityLife insurance401(k)Paid vacation and sick timeParking or public transportation allowanceEmployee Assistance Program
