Construction Litigation Associate (4-6 Years Experience)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Firm: AmLaw 200 Law Firm
Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify a Construction Litigation Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Construction Business Unit in Los Angeles .
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated construction litigation practice handling complex, high-value matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience and the ability to manage matters with a high level of autonomy while working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Trial preparation and courtroom support
  • Managing case files with direct responsibility
  • Drafting and arguing motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings and briefs
  • Supporting settlement negotiations and dispute resolution efforts
Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of construction litigation experience
  • Strong advocacy, legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions required
  • Prior exposure to construction, engineering, or architectural matters is a plus
  • Insurance defense experience is a plus
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organized
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and professionalism
  • Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $165,000 - $175,000 (DOE)
